Looking forward to another long run with a big beautiful truck! The stainless steel exhaust and coated frame are huge improvements! The change in suspension and bed components are amazing too. I’m really going to miss having a 6th seat. Do any of you have a setup that you like? I think I’m really limited on options in my situation. I’ve been looking for tonneau/ ladder rack combos for 8’ beds for this truck and I’m coming up short. I will probably need a tonneau cover now to move some of that into the bed. My 07 had open floor space when I flipped the seats up, the new one doesn’t. One big change is that the back seat configuration is going to force me to carry my tools differently now. ![]() I love that it behaves exactly like my last one did when it was brand new. I’m not complaining (even though it sounds like that), just making an observation on how wildly different things are between then and now. I blame Toyota for making trucks last so long that it left me behind the times. I was born in ‘78, so every car I’ve owned up until now didn’t require me to do anything more than just get in and turn the key. Driving it home had me feeling distracted, and I’m no stranger to tech. I’m overwhelmed by how much has changed in 16 years! The most notable difference is how much I have to do to connect my truck. It’s beautiful! I bought this to replace my 2007 DC SR5 which I also bought brand new 16 years ago. I just picked up my new 2024 double cab SR5 last Saturday.
